Hello, it's me!
One of those dreadful 'for new followers' posts - it has been a while!
Wow, I do look excited! I must admit this was taken back in May when I hosted my last supper club. My thinking at the time, was I’d photograph everything on the lengthly menu and post about it all - to ‘do it proper’. It took me weeks to find the time to photograph everything and with work being so busy, it’s a habit that just slipped. So… hello again, it is me, I am still here!
My lovely friend Amy (who was assisting me) took this pic of me. I was a bit concerned that the ‘hands in the air like I just don’t care’ might be a little flamboyant, but you know what; super-gay or not, this is an image of joy, which beautifully reflects my approach to supper clubbing.
This particular supper club was held at The Roundhouse Haven, not for from Market Harborough. My great friend and client; Karen Edwards booked all the seats, which meant I hadn’t the stress of selling tickets - a godsend! Here we see my lovely Karen engaged in a little pre-food yoga session.
As part of the evening, we planned time for a few intro games, so guests could get to know eachother. At the end of the evening, we even had a Karen themed quick fire quiz with my favourite olive oil as a prize. I also recall with fond giggles, one of the ‘get to know fellow guests’ games was a group task to produce an ‘only fake fans’ profile pic and blurb. What can I say? What happens at super club stays at supper club!
To save me listing the entire menu, I remember that Karen had menu’s printed. Thank goodness I managed to take a lovely shot of it along with the low key table scape before everyone arrived and I got glued to the kitchen.
So, September see’s a return of pop-up supper clubs and the odd private chef experience. I am super-focused on my personal brand photography re-brand, but I am also committed to making time for a my food writing too…
I know that was pretty brief, but I have a wild dining recipe that I wanted to share, so must get on.
Have a delicious weekend fabulous people, please make the most of it!
Matt xx
